Weekly Classes / Meetings

Bhakti Flow – Bhakti Flow is a celebration of devotion and motion, combining the chanting of mantra and the grace of vinyasa flow. This class will begin with mantra followed by a slower flow so students can begin to experience the external practice as a means to explore the more internal meditation of transcendental sound and devotion.

Bhakti Recovery Group – The Bhakti Recovery Group is an all-inclusive 12-Step / Bhakti-oriented fellowship that brings together people who share their experience, strength, and hope, as it relates to finding freedom from various addictions and emotional problems. The only requirement for membership is the desire for recovery. This group will utilize the Emotions Anonymous book as well as Srila Prabhupada’s spiritual and philosophical teachings. Emotions Anonymous is not run by professionals; rather, members take turns leading the meetings because we believe we are all equal with no one being more important than another in the process of recovery.

Christian Bhakti Group – Christian Bhakti Group is an open discussion group that studies the Bible and other teachings of Christianity to help shed light on the core principles of Bhakti Yoga. We will explore how the lessons drawn from these texts can highlight the similarities, rather than the differences, of these two spiritual paths.

Gita Wisdom – The Bhagavad Gita is universally renowned as the spiritual jewel of India but it is also read by people all over the world to understand the science of self-realization. This is a book you don’t read once but it can be daunting the first go around. This group will gather to dive into this ancient text and try to understand how its timeless wisdom can inform our daily choices. The Gita can be read sequentially as a story (we will start from the beginning) or randomly as distinct verses of Yogic wisdom for contemplative thought (so you can join the group anytime). The goal of this group is to meet on a regular basis and discuss/explore ways we can embody the teachings of the Gita and use it as a practical handbook on how to navigate this crazy material world. This group will read the specific translation Bhagavad Gita As It Is by Srila Prabhupada and copies can be obtained from the studio on a donation basis or online. This group is on a donation only basis.

Hatha 26 – This class is the original hot yoga sequence (minus the heat and mirrors!), also known as Bikram Yoga. It consists of a series of 26 poses and 2 breathing exercises performed in a specific order. This series systematically works every muscle, tendon, ligament, organ, gland, cell and joint in the body, while simultaneously improving concentration, patience and determination. This class is highly recommended for any new or experienced practitioner. Practicing the series in room temperature will allow us to focus more on breath and proper muscle engagement to heat the body while exploring the subtleties of the practice.

Hatha Yoga – This class is great for all levels of Yogi’s, offering a challenge to those more experienced, yet very accessible to the beginner. Flowing at times, we learn to be with our breath, our body, and our thoughts as we melt into the asanas. Experiencing the moment, opening the heart and the mind, and excepting the energy of being where we are, at the same time creating strength, stamina, and flexibility. Always infused with spirit and bliss, yoga poses, pranayama, and relaxation are all a part of this class experience.

Kundalini – Kundalini Yoga is a powerful technology which brings deep focus and clarity to the mind, uplifts the spirit, balances and aligns the chakras, cleanses the organs, and balances the glandular system. Comprised of breath work, dynamic movement, mantra, and meditation, the practice restores deep calm and reinvigorates your entire being for total health and optimal wellness. When practiced regularly, you will gain the strength, courage, and self-knowledge to break through subconscious blocks and act from your higher self, in harmony with intuition, universal wisdom, and compassion. This class is suitable for all. No previous experience required.

Men’s Sangha This is a men’s group dedicated to learning and applying the wisdom of ancient literature to their lives. Each week we will select a different topic from the writings and teachings of Srila Prabhupada and share how that topic relates to each of us as men in today’s society. The goal of this group is to provide a safe and supportive space for men to grow spiritually.

Slow Flow – This 60 minute class is a breath based mindful movement practice that helps to quiet the mind through slower movements, longer holds, all level postures and more intentional transitions through space. This class is for all levels and the pace and vibe of the class will vary per the instructor.

Thursday Night Kirtan – Thursday night Kirtan is a communal experience of transcendental sound in the tradition of call and response and mantra meditation led by devotees as an offering to the Divine. Kirtan is a simple and authentic way to relieve stress, refresh the mind and connect with yourself, others and the Divine on a deeper level. Everyone is invited! The only requirement is to come with an open heart and an open mind. This group is on a donation only basis.

Vinyasa – Vinyasa is an energizing and physical practice that incorporates breath, yoga postures, and the marriage of the two through intelligent sequencing and movement. Vinyasa is a widely varied practice with no set sequencing so the style, pace and intensity will vary depending on the teacher and their mood that day. Come with an open mind and an open heart knowing that every practice has a lesson we can learn.

Vinyasa Level 1/2 – This class focuses on connecting breath with movement and form. After warming up the joints and muscles, typically through basic sun salutations, students will keep the body moving in dynamic standing, balancing, seated and supine sequences of poses. While the class is very beginner friendly it will have space for more experienced students to add variations of poses.

Vinyasa Level 2/3 – Explore, deepen and transform your practice in this class which is a Vinyasa flow with an extra kick to your asana. This class will be more challenging than our Level 1/2 Vinyasa class with more variations of postures and transitions to explore. Through dynamic sequencing that focuses on building strength and working towards a peak posture, this class will assist you in the continued growth, confidence, and evolution of your yoga practice. Having a consistent yoga practice is recommended, but all curious and eager yogis are invited to join!

Yin Yoga – The practice of Yin Yoga provides the perfect balance to an active (yang) yoga practice and lifestyle. Focusing on long-held floor poses, combined with attention on breath and stillness, yin yoga goes beneath the superficial muscles to target the dense connective (yin) tissues of the body, particularly in the hips, pelvis and lower back, which are difficult to open and can result in both limited flexibility and stagnant energy. The stillness and long holds of the class can create a wonderful meditative opportunity to calm the mind and develop a deeper intelligence and wisdom about the body. All levels are welcome and highly encouraged to come to this class.

Yin Yoga Storytime – The practice of Yin Yoga provides the perfect balance to an active (yang) yoga practice and lifestyle. This Yin Yoga class will have the added element of ancient epic storytelling so you can relax, close your eyes and begin to absorb the wisdom and beauty of these tales. All levels are welcome and highly encouraged to come to this class.

Yogastrength – The intention behind this class is to move beyond our limited conceptions of strength and “working out” while also reinforcing the yoga component of mindfulness. This class will help students build strength and muscle endurance by using body weight, rather than dumbbells, in both dynamic and isometric poses. There will also be drills to improve body awareness, balance and cardiovascular endurance, but with an overall focus on controlled breath, form over speed, and quality over quantity. The class is designed to promote stronger leaner muscle and more functional strength that will support a stronger yoga practice, as well as help prevent risk of injury associated with everyday activities such as walking, running, sitting and lifting things.
